Kouta Kinoshita lectures in London
Japanese journalist talks about the problem of radiation after Fukushima. In this lecture, Kouta Kinoshita will look at the immediate and long term health problems from radiation and discuss how to take precautions against radiation exposure. He will also examine how people can disseminate the facts from the Government sponsored media propaganda which is appearing on a daily basis in Japan. This lecture is in Japanese with English interpreter.

Come support the 'Waddington 6' at to their trial at Lincoln Magistrates court. At the first mass trespass at RAF Waddington in June, three men and three women entered the UK air base from where the British military remotely controls the armed Reaper drones in Afghanistan. The protesters planted a peace garden and pasted up photos of people killed by drones in Afghanistan. They will be using the recent paper by Public Interest Lawyers on the Legality of British Drone Use in their defence. Part of Drones Week of Action.

Scottish CND are asking members and supporters to assemble outside the Clyde Auditorium at the Scottish Exhibition Centre from 11.15 am. The Protest and Rally will run from 11.30 am to 12.30.
Do “Proliferating Nuclear Threats” Justify Trident Renewal?
On 15 July Defence Minister Philip Hammond said on BBC Radio: "We do not believe that, with nuclear threats if anything proliferating, with more countries seeking to get nuclear weapons, this is the time to downgrade [the UK's nuclear deterrent]." Peter Jenkins and Shashank Joshi will debate the accuracy of Mr. Hammond's claims, and respond to questions. 17.00–19.00 followed by an informal drinks reception.
