The Mayor of Hastings and Mayor for Peace (worldwide network initiated by the Mayor of Hiroshima), Councillor Nigel Sinden, will open the evening event just before sunset.
There will be vigils and readings outside the Rolls Royce plant.

All are welcome to meet at the Bandstand for readings, a period of silent reflection and the dropping of flowers on the river. Bring white flowers if you wish.
Cambridge CND to commemorate the bombing of Hiroshima.
Join Bolton CND/Stop the War for a silent vigil in memory of those who suffered and died in the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima.
10.45 for 1 minute’s silence at 11o’clock, followed by laying of wreath of white flowers by Cllr. Peter Brennan, Lord Mayor of L’pool.

Meet by the commemorative cherry tree in Victoria Park to remember the victims of the nuclear bombs dropped on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
Hiroshima Day Commemoration at Carshalton Ponds
Wimbledon Disarmament Coalition/CND Hiroshima/Nagasaki Commemoration picnic, 3 pm, by our Hiroshima cherry tree, in Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon common.
Hiroshima Day candle float on Lake Rushmere, Wimbledon Common. There will be a short ceremony with songs and poems.
There will be several days of direct action in central London, which will incorporate the annual international fast, to mark the anniversaries.
Hiroshima and Nagasaki commemoration, at 12 noon, by the cherry tree in Hereford Crematorium.
11am – 12noon with leafletting outside for 30 minutes beforehand.
The service will be taken by the retired Canon Graham Blythe. Followed by refreshments.
