Alice Wheeldon: a daughter of Derby to be proud of

This year Derby has honoured Alice Wheeldon with a Blue Plaque; recognising that an injustice was done to her and her family. Our Festival will celebrate Peace and Justice in 2013, recognising the courage of those who have fought for women’s rights and the bravery of those who took a stand against WW1. There will be a free lunch time concert and displays along with talks on MI5, the legacy of war, conscientious objection. It will be lively and enjoyable, so book your place now and tell your friends.

We have the fabulous Peggy Seeger, supported by Rosa’s Lovely Daughters, in the evening (£12.00 and £10.00), and Robb Johnson and Karl and the Marx Brothers in the day (£1.00 day ticket).
