Cymdeithas y Cymod Vigil. The theme of this year's Vigil will be Henry Richard, the "Apostle of Peace". Almost exactly 200 years since he was born on 3 April 1812, we will meet in his home town to celebrate his work for peace between the world's nations. All are welcome. (Please note that all the meetings will be in Welsh.) The Vigil will begin with dinner at 6pm on the Friday night, which will be followed by a talk by Gwyn Griffiths about Henry Richard's life and work and an opportunity to socialise.
On Saturday morning, at 10.30am, Dr Robin Gwyndaf will lead a brief service commemorating Henry Richard by his statue on Tregaron square. At 10.45 a meeting of Cymdeithas y Cymod's Council will be held at the Talbot. The official part of the Vigil will end at lunch time, but of course there will be an opportunity to order lunch at the Talbot afterwards.
The cost of the Vigil for those having dinner and staying overnight is £50 in a shared room (£40 for people with a low income). A supplement of £10 applies for single rooms. Dinner only is £14. You are welcome to attend the meetings without a charge, but we would be grateful if you let us know if you want to come.
Rooms at the Talbot are limited, so it will be first come, first served. Please also let us know of any dietary requirements you have.
