LONDON. Raphael Samuel Memorial Lecture 2014. With Tariq Ali. Tariq Ali is a longstanding editor at the New Left Review, and has written over two dozen books on history and politics, seven novels and scripts for stage and screen. He will speak about how history can become distorted, instrumentalised and decontextualised when viewed from the ideological needs of today's establishments.
